Installation of Patch

Prepare Patch to be compiled:

CPPFLAGS=-D_GNU_SOURCE \
    LDFLAGS="-static" ./configure --prefix=$LFS/static

The meaning of the configure option is:

Continue with compiling the package:

make

And finish off installing the package:

make install
